FITTINGS
Stress corrosion test
Brass fittings, including sleeves, shall be free from internal tensional stresses and shall resist the mercury nitrate test or the ammonium test. Fittings shall show no evidence of cracking visible when 10-times magnified.
Resistance to tightening torque of fittings
Male fittings and swivel nuts shall resist a tightening torque without evidence of cracks or damage visible when 10-times magnified.
Resistance to bending
Fittings shall resist the minimum bending torques without evidence of cracks or damage visible when 10-times magnified.
Resistance to seat of female fitting
Female fittings shall resist the tightening torques without evidence of deformation or cracks visible when 10-times magnified.
FLOW RATE
Flow rate
Samples shall be taken for each DN type. The hose assemblies are considered to comply with requirements, when either the minimum diameter of the bore of all parts or the measured flow rate is in compliance with the requirements.
Nominal size | Minimum bore diameter mm | Minimum flow rate |
l/min | ||
DN 6 | 4.6 | 16 |
DN 8 | 6.2 | 28 |
DN 10 | 7.5 | 45 |
DN 13 | 9.9 | 60 |
DN 15 | 12.5 | 96 |
DN 18 | 15 | 120 |
DN 20 | 17 | 145 |
DN 25 | 20 | --- |
TENSILE STRESS RESISTANCE
Tensile stress resistance
Samples shall be taken for each DN type and treated at pressure of 1,2 MPa for 168 h at a temperature 90 +1/-3 °C. Hose assemblies shall be resistant to requirements a tensile stress. During and after this test, the hose assembly shall show no leakage or other damage.
UV RESISTANCE
UV resistance
When exposed to UV radiation of 3,5 GJ/(m2 · a) in accordance with EN ISO 877, Method C, the hose assembly with plastics braiding shall comply with the resistance to pressure jumps.
RESISTANCE TO TEMPERATURE CYCLING
Resistance to temperature cycling
Samples shall be taken for each DN type and treated at pressure of 1,2 MPa for 168 h at a temperature 90 +1/-3 °C. After 5.000 cycles, hose assemblies shall not show any sign of damage and leakage.
LEAK TIGHTNESS TEST
Leak tightness test under internal hydrostatic pressure
Samples shall be taken for each DN type and treated at pressure of 1,2 MPa for 168 h at a temperature 90 +1/-3 °C. When tested to an internal water pressure of 3,0 MPa, the hose assemblies shall not show signs of any leakage.
Pressure cycling resistance
Samples shall be taken for each DN type and treated at pressure of 1,2 MPa for 168 h at a temperature 90 +1/-3 °C. Hose assemblies shall withstand a pressure cycling in the range from 0,5 MPa to 3,0 MPa.
Resistance to pressure jumps
Samples shall be taken for each DN type and treated at pressure of 1,2 MPa for 168 h at a temperature 90 +1/-3 °C. When tested in the range from 0,5 MPa to 5,0 MPa, hose assemblies shall resist to pressure jump for 200 impulses.
FROST RESISTANCE
Frost resistance
Samples shall be taken for each DN type. After treatment at temperature of – 25 °C for 10 hours, hose assemblies shall not show any sign of damage and leakage.
CORROSION RESISTANCE
Resistance to corrosion
Samples shall be taken for each materials combination. Hose assemblies shall not show any corrosion defect when inspected in accordance with method described in EN 12540.
FLEXIBILITY
Flexibility
Samples shall be taken for each DN type. After the test ovality of hose assemblies shall not exceed 15 %.
